Aussie fashion label Miss Unkon have launched a lovely hardback book called Love Is Like A Dreamland. It doubles both as a promotional tool and also a nice little keepsake. Pretty cool idea, huh? You can preview the book here.

Me and my sister spent 10 weeks in the U.K. over the Christmas break and had an amazing time. One of my favourite places was Brighton. So much colour and tack. And definitely a great place for people watching.

We went there about 2 or 3 times to shop and explore the lanes but I never got to go to the Pier! :( So I'm a little jealous of the people in these photos. Though the "beach" doesn't look all that appealing!

THE FAMILY LAW

Photobucket

My mum showed me an article tonight about Ben Law and his new book The Family Law. It's pretty much a collection of essays about his upbringing in his loveable, yet completely eccentric Chinese family. Can't wait to get my hands on a copy!

In my opinion, he writes the best articles in Frankie magazine. He's just got this incredibly wicked sense of humour. I'd probably say he's my biggest inspiration for wanting to become a feature writer (please hire me Frankie!).

And you know what? I've been kicking myself for over a year now. Why? Because I had the chance to meet him and I didn't take it cos I was too shy! aheglkhejghdjkfkjfhekjhrferjgo3wrjg

I'll elaborate.

When I started uni last year, I went to a Creative Industries party (I'm studying Journalism at QUT). Guess who was hosting the event? None other than Benjamin Law. But I was too chicken to approach him. And while I was waiting to catch the ferry, he was sitting a metre away from me and I STILL passed up the opportunity to tell him how much I love his work.

Nice one Bek.

I assure you, if I ever see him again I will not hesitate to pounce on him and gush like a crazy fool.

SQUIRREL GIRL

Atlanta de Cadenet aka "squirrel girl" (according to my friend Lauren, she resembles a squirrel) is Mark Hunter/The Cobra Snake's latest muse/gal pal.

I have to say, I am amazed that someone like him gets all these very young, model girlfriends. For those who have no idea what he looks like, he's very hairy, slightly balding, and kinda chubby.

I just assumed he was a 40-something...the other day I found out he's only 22! How embarrassing.

SWEET TREATS

Today I enjoyed a lovely tea party with friends (thanks for organising it Tar Bar!) We supped on delicious treats like these. It was heaven :)

If I had to name my most favourite music video I would have to say, It's Okay by Land Of Talk...it's oh so magical :) The video itself is a million times better than the stills so check it out here.
